I have been taught as a Teaching Assistant and as an Instructor of Record from 2017 to 2020. In my experiences, I participated in the construction of the classes, syllabi, and assignments, and had permission to adapt and change the classes as needed.
I design and teach my classes informed by radical pedagogy theories from Paulo Freire and bell hooks. I strive to create a safe environment in which students can have autonomy and confidence in their learning, and can connect the materials of the class to their actual lived experiences, goals, and dreams.

Fall 2020 – Instructor of Record for Writing for ATEC. This upper level writing intensive course aims to prepare students to write different genres of text common in the fields of art and technology. Online asynchronous version.
Fall 2019 – Spring 2020 – Instructor of Record for Digital Content Design. This class is a upper level writing intensive course that aims to prepare students to write different genres of text common in the fields of art and technology. Face to face version.
Fall 2017 – Spring 2019 – Teaching Assistant for the freshman-required class Introduction to Technoculture. Students attended two classes weekly: one in a lecture hall and the other in smaller discussion sections. I was responsible for leading two discussion sections per semester and grading.
I worked closely with the professor (Dr. Anne Balsamo) and the other TAs to create syllabi and assignments.
