Building Learning Communities
This project was part of the University Transdisciplinary Lab – Civic Innovation: Strategies and Practices for Transformative Change, a collaborative lab by Parsons School of Design and The New School for Public Engagement, in 2015.
This speculative design project proposed ideas on how a school of the 21st century could work if it was based on learning communities and empathy. We imagined a learning environment in which students, faculty and staff had tools to express their feelings and interests, and which included designed spaces for the discovery of connections and common interests among the members of the community.
In collaboration with Ricardo Dutra and Tamar Roemer, in partnership with Edgar Cahn, Founder of TimeBanks USA.
